Lotte Biologics has signed a contract manufacturing organization (CMO) agreement with UK-based biotech company OTTIMO Pharma for the production of an antibody drug substance.
According to Lotte Biologics on the 19th, the agreement was signed at the company’s booth during the BIO International 2025 event held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the United States. Attendees included James Park, CEO of Lotte Biologics, Yoo-Yeol Shin, Head of Global Strategy, and Joseph Shultz, Vice President of OTTIMO Pharma.
Under the agreement, Lotte Biologics will produce the drug substance (DS) for OTTIMO Pharma’s antibody therapy candidate Jankistomig at its Syracuse Bio Campus in New York.
Lotte Biologics currently offers end-to-end CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) services at the Syracuse Bio Campus, ranging from cell line development to large-scale manufacturing. The company is also preparing to begin operations at its first plant in the Songdo Bio Campus in 2027, a large-scale facility with a 120,000-liter production capacity, enabling it to secure major global contracts.
Recently, Lotte Biologics has been expanding partnerships with global biotech firms across Asia and Europe, reinforcing its position in the CDMO market with two manufacturing hubs in North America and Asia. The company has also signed strategic agreements with global CDOs (Contract Development Organizations) and drug product (DP) partners to provide tailored end-to-end services.
“This agreement serves as further validation of Lotte Biologics’ competitiveness as a CDMO in the global antibody therapeutics market,” said CEO James Park. “We will continue to strive to deliver greater value to our partners and patients.”
“This collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing the development of Jankistomig with speed and precision,” said Joseph Shultz, Vice President of OTTIMO. “Lotte Biologics’ outstanding biologics manufacturing capabilities will further strengthen our preparations for IND submission and clinical trial initiation, accelerating our path forward.”
