What Are BLACKPINK Jennie's Secrets to a Toned Butt?
[Celeb Health] Jennie's Secrets to a Toned Butt
BLACKPINK's Jennie revealed her secret to maintaining smooth, firm buttock skin. On the 27th, a new video titled "Mandu Ingan Geukjang" was posted on Jennie's YouTube channel.
While in Osaka, Japan for a festival performance, Jennie shared, “Of all days, I woke up with a stiff back this morning," and mentioned she was using a patch on her legs. As she unpacked items she bought in Osaka, she continued, “It might look like just a soap, but they say if you use this soap to wash your butt, it will become firm and bouncy. Honestly, aren’t you curious?” She explained further, “For the buttocks, regular body lotion isn’t enough. The skin is thicker, so it needs extra care.”
Exfoliate and Moisturize for Soft, Smooth Butt Skin
Buttock skin can easily become rough due to various reasons, such as friction, dryness, or an imbalance in sebum production. To improve this, consistent care, like Jennie’s, is necessary.
One of the main causes of rough skin is the buildup of dead skin cells, resulting in dead skin. Regular exfoliation helps smooth out the skin’s surface. However, it’s important to avoid harsh scrubs and choose gentle, mild products. Exfoliating once or twice a week is enough, as doing it too often can cause irritation to the skin.
Jennie also stressed the importance of moisturizing. Because the skin on the buttocks is thicker, heavier creams or body butters are more effective than lighter formulas. Ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, and argan oil are great for hydration and making the skin feel soft. The best time to apply moisturizer is right after a shower, while the skin is still damp, as it helps the skin absorb moisture better.
Shower with Lukewarm Water and Gentle, Hydrating Cleanser
When showering, it’s best to use lukewarm water and mild cleansers that are gentle on the skin. Hot water and strong soaps can strip the skin of its natural oils, causing dryness. Opting for cleansers with moisturizing ingredients like plant oils, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides is even better.
After washing, it's important not to rub the skin with a towel. Instead, gently pat the skin to remove excess water to minimize skin irritation. To further reduce friction, wear breathable cotton underwear and avoid tight pants or leggings.
A healthy diet can also support skin improvement. Vitamin C promotes skin regeneration, while hyaluronic acid helps retain moisture. Vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids keep the skin hydrated and healthy. Drinking more than 2 liters of water a day also helps maintain the skin’s moisture levels.
However, if rough skin continues despite these efforts, along with symptoms like itching or discomfort, it could be a sign of dermatitis. In such cases, it's important to visit a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis.
