Singer Eugene Reveals Her Secret to Staying Young.

Singer Eugene recently shared her secret to maintaining a youthful appearance on her YouTube channel, 'Eugene VS Taeyoung.' In a video titled "The Routine of 40s Actresses Revealed," Eugene credited sufficient sleep as a key factor in her youthful looks. She explained, "A major part of my secret to staying young and healthy is getting enough sleep. I love sleeping. Back when I was younger, I had many late-night shoots and didn't get enough sleep in my 20s and 30s, which created a 'sleep debt' that I’m now compensating for."

Eugene also emphasized the benefits of eating nuts and olive oil. She shared, "Although I can't eat them every day, I always have nuts around. I try to eat them 15 minutes before a meal to help reduce sugar absorption." She also mentioned, "When cooking, I only use olive oil."

The Importance of Sleep for Youthful Skin

Sleep, as Eugene mentioned, is crucial for maintaining a youthful appearance. Sleep plays an essential role in physical and mental recovery. In particular, it helps in rejuvenating the skin. During sleep, the skin cells repair and regenerate, and collagen production is stimulated. Collagen is a vital substance for maintaining skin elasticity and reducing wrinkles.

Getting enough sleep also helps lower cortisol levels. Cortisol, known as the "stress hormone," is released when the body is under stress. High cortisol levels can lead to an accumulation of free radicals in the body, accelerating aging and causing skin inflammation, which can lead to acne, rashes, and other skin issues.

When the quality and quantity of sleep improve, blood pressure and heart function also benefit. Sleep helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, stroke, and heart attacks. Additionally, sleep boosts the immune system, improves learning and memory, and enhances overall well-being.

Olive Oil and Nuts: Antioxidants for Skin and Vascular Health

The nuts and olive oil that Eugene enjoys contain plant-based proteins and healthy fats, particularly unsaturated fats, which are known to have antioxidant effects. As she mentioned, these foods can help maintain youthful skin and overall health. Unsaturated fats prevent the buildup of free radicals in the body, which can cause inflammation and cellular damage, accelerating aging processes like wrinkles, sagging skin, and loss of elasticity.

In addition to their antioxidant properties, nuts help regulate blood sugar levels. They are rich in fiber and healthy fats, which slow down digestion in the stomach, helping to prevent sharp spikes in blood sugar levels. This can naturally reduce the chances of overeating and help control both blood sugar and weight. However, it's important to avoid dried fruits that may contain added sugar, as they can spike blood sugar levels.
