G-Dragon “almost thinks dangerously”...how control his mind?
[Celebrity Health] Singer G-Dragon's method for Maintaining Inner Peace
G-Dragon Reveals His Method for Maintaining Inner Peace.
G-Dragon recently appeared on the tvN program "You Quiz on the Block." He shared updates on his life ahead of his comeback and talked about his recent lifestyle habits.
G-Dragon said, "Having spent half my life in a glamorous environment, there are things that are simply beyond my control. While I try to manage what’s within my boundaries, there are things outside of them where I feel pushed into a corner without a solution."
He continued, "There were times when I felt mentally worn out, like I couldn't go any further. When I felt close to breaking down, I tried hard to center myself. In the past, I thought overcoming obstacles was everything, but now I simply accept things as they are and don’t try to conquer everything." Fortunately, he added that he has recently found peace of mind, saying, "Now I practice meditation and tea ceremonies. My routine may be all over the place, but I usually wake up around 4 p.m., exercise if I have training scheduled, and meditate when I have a class."
Sitting Comfortably and Breathing Deeply are Controlling Emotions with Meditation
The type of meditation G-Dragon practices helps with emotional regulation. There are various methods to meditate, but one way is to sit comfortably, close your eyes, and imagine something you enjoy — a forest scene, a memorable travel destination, or a loved one. Through this visualization, you can refresh your mind and body while repeating positive self-affirmations.
Breathing deeply during meditation can slow your heart rate and respiration, creating a calm state. For breathing, gently open your mouth, exhale deeply until you feel your abdomen touch your back, then inhale through your nose.
Alpha and Theta Brainwaves in Meditation Reduce Anxiety and Fatigue
In the early stages of meditation, alpha brainwaves, which promote calm, tend to appear, followed by theta waves, which are associated with problem-solving and pleasant emotions. These brainwaves can alleviate feelings of worthlessness, physical pain, and other negative emotions. Meditation also has physical benefits. According to researchers at the University of Wisconsin, a study with 49 participants who meditated for eight weeks showed reduced fatigue and improvement in symptoms related to stress, such as irritable bowel syndrome.
Long-term meditation can also foster positive emotions and enhance focus. A study by researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, showed that people who practiced meditation long-term had larger brain areas, including the cerebral cortex and right hippocampus, and demonstrated better cognitive abilities.
Relieving Stress with Tea Time is Calmness and Anti-Aging Benefits
Tea ceremonies, where one makes and drinks tea, can also clear the mind and relieve stress. During the calm process of brewing tea, individuals can take a moment to empty their minds and settle down. Drinking tea allows for self-reflection and provides nutritional benefits. Tea is rich in antioxidants such as polyphenols, amino acids like theanine, and vitamins that help reduce inflammation and slow aging. Theanine, known as a natural tranquilizer, soothes the nervous system and reduces stress.
