Actress Jung Gaeun shared her secret to maintaining a toned body even at home. Recently, she posted a photo of herself riding an indoor bike on her social media.

Alongside the photo, she wrote, "The season of high skies and weight gain. The weather's getting colder, and I don’t have time to hit the gym. I’m starting to feel reluctant to go outside. But since I need to work out, I might as well make it efficient—sweat it out, have some fun, and lose track of time." In the post, she’s seen pedaling hard on the indoor bike, dressed in a sleeveless top and leggings. Known to be 170 cm tall and weighing 53 kg, Jung Ga-eun’s toned physique caught the attention of her fans.

Indoor Cycling for Fat Loss and Muscular Endurance Improvement

Jung Gaeun’s workout choice, indoor cycling, helps burn about 800 kcal per hour, aiding in fat loss. It also improves cardiovascular health and muscular endurance. Indoor cycling doesn’t require much space and isn’t impacted by weather, making it highly accessible—even while watching a movie or playing a game.

Before cycling, however, it’s crucial to adjust the settings to fit your body. When seated with one pedal fully down, your knee should be slightly bent for the ideal height. If the seat is too high, your knee may fully extend or cause your toes to point downward, straining your joints. Conversely, a seat that’s too low can make pedaling uncomfortable and may lead to poor posture.

Adjust Pedals and Saddle Height and Maintain Proper Posture

Maintaining proper posture while cycling is also essential. Relax your shoulders, engage your core, and keep your back upright. Your knees should ideally face forward.

While pedaling, use the entire foot, pressing down as if you’re stepping on the ground, to maximize exercise benefits. A pace of one pedal rotation per second for about 20–30 minutes is recommended.

If you experience knee pain or hear unusual sounds while cycling, consider adjusting the saddle or pedal position. If pain persists even after lowering the intensity, consult a doctor for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.
