Especially, growth hormone helps with cell regeneration, relieving fatigue, and activating moisture in the body. This is why the skin looks hydrated and radiant after a good night’s sleep. Growth hormone is released starting from 10 p.m. and peaks around 2 a.m., then returns to a lower level by 4 a.m. It is best to sleep for at least 6-8 hours to avoid disrupting daily life.

Drinking Water and Exercise Are Important for Youthful Skin

Choi Kang-hee also emphasizes the importance of staying hydrated. If you don’t drink enough water, your skin will lose elasticity and look older. About 70% of the skin is water, and insufficient hydration leads to reduced collagen and elastin production, causing sagging and wrinkles.

Drinking enough water can lower skin temperature and reduce oil production. It is recommended to drink 1-1.5 liters of water daily, in small amounts throughout the day. For example, drink 1-2 glasses in the morning, 2 glasses in the afternoon, and 2 glasses in the evening. Morning water helps with blood circulation and keeps the skin clear, while also aiding digestion.

Regular exercise also helps in maintaining a youthful and vibrant appearance. Exercise promotes the release of myokines, which have anti-inflammatory effects and reduce inflammation. High inflammation can worsen acne and destroy collagen, leading to more wrinkles. Exercise also improves blood circulation, delivering fresh oxygen to skin cells and removing waste products, which helps keep the body healthy.
